If you’re ready to join a high-impact team shaping the future of intelligence and security, we invite you to become part of our journey. Join us and help defend the digital world with purpose and innovation!
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our engineering team and help develop the AI capabilities behind our intelligence products, with a particular focus on NLP, information extraction, and knowledge graphs.
Our platform processes large volumes of data from multiple sources, including text, social media, imagery, and geospatial data. One of our key challenges is identifying entities and relationships across these sources, connecting relevant information, and making it accessible for further analysis.
In this role, you’ll work with traditional ML/NLP approaches and modern language models, contribute to the development of our knowledge graph architecture, and integrate models into existing data pipelines. You'll be involved in technical decisions, from selecting and evaluating models to getting them into production.
The ideal candidate has a solid ML background and is equally comfortable writing production code. This is a hands-on engineering position, with an emphasis on building and maintaining systems rather than research alone.
Requirements
Engineering Skills:
- Strong Python skills and experience shipping production AI/ML services.
- Experience with FastAPI, Docker, and asynchronous programming.
- Good knowledge of databases, including PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and vector databases.
- Proven experience operating and integrating AI workloads into queue-based, distributed data pipelines (e.g. Celery, RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or cloud equivalents) for large-scale AI enrichment and batch inference.
AI Skills:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML/NLP models in production, including practical experience with information extraction and language models.
- Proven experience with information extraction from unstructured data, including entity and relation extraction, entity resolution, or entity linking.
- Experience with knowledge graphs, from designing ontologies and graph schemas to working with graph databases (e.g. Neo4j) or GraphRAG.
- Hands-on experience with multimodal models applied to real-world data.
- Strong understanding of transformer architectures and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Understanding of evaluation methodologies for model outputs.
- Strong English communication skills, at least upper-intermediate level.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with fine-tuning and/or self-hosted deployment of open models, including approaches such as LoRA/PEFT and SFT, model serving with vLLM or similar tools, and inference optimisation techniques such as quantisation.
- Experience with multimodal models, computer vision, or geospatial data, including satellite imagery and remote sensing.
- Background in threat intelligence, OSINT, geospatial intelligence, or defence.
We Offer:
- Opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven startup and support prestigious clients, including governments worldwide, enterprise clients, and leading NGOs in tackling global security challenges.
- Autonomy and freedom to drive experiments and bring your own ideas to life.
- Remote-first setup with flexibility to work from anywhere in Europe.
- Flexible, unlimited time-off policy.
*If your skills and experience are a strong fit for this opportunity, a member of our team will reach out to guide you through the next steps.
